Osa Peninsula
This competition starts on Thursday March 08th, 2012 at 4:00 a. m in Sierpe de Osa and ends on Friday, March 09th, 2012 in Puerto Jimenez, Osa Peninsula.

We can see here the opportunity to provide something different to lovers of extreme sports, experience new adventures by reaching new goals that offer a challenge.

Organization
Osa Verde y Mar / Quiros Bike 1 to 1 are the organizers of the "Rainforest Challenge" Challenge at The Jungle ", which will take place from March 08th to March 09th, 2012 in the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica.
 
"This try-out aims to bring together 48 participants in 12 teams of four (4) people; (2) two men and two (2) women and /or (3) men and (1) a woman or vice versa.  

Organizers Osa-Green and Sea / Quiros Bike 1 to 1, reserve the right to change these regulations, travel, in case of force majeure outside its control.

Competition

This competition starts onThursday March 08th, 2012 at 4:00 a. m in Sierpe de Osa and ends on Friday, March 09th, 2012 in Puerto Jimenez, Osa Peninsula.

It's an extreme competition focused for high performance athletes, in groups of four (4) people (2) two men and two (2) women and/ or (3) men and (1) a woman or vice versa, which combines: mountain biking, race-hiking and sea kayaking, with a distance of 95 kilometers:

• Mountain bike: 51 km.
• Race-hike: 25 km.
• Sea Kayak: 19 km.

Día 1

 
Thursday March 08, 2012

3.30 A.m. Presentation of the route in the starting line by the race director Mr. Manuel Quiros.

Stage 1: mountain biking- Sierpe - Rancho Quemado: 51 kms.
Stage 2: race- hiking- Rancho Quemado - Playa Blanca: 25 kms.
Stage 3: sea kayaking, Playa Blanca - Puerto Jimenez: 19 kms. 

Day 0
Departure from San Jose with destination to Sierpe, Wednesday, 07th, 2012.
· 8.00 am: start packing the bikes at Quiro’s Bike 1 to 1, 200 meters south and 50 meters west from Palí, Pavas.
· 9:00 p.m: Departure.
· 2:00 p.m. Arrival to Sierpe de Osa: at approximately

Día 2

Dinner in Puerto Jimenez.  Awards and closing ceremony.
 The climate in the Osa Peninsula is moist and heat. For June the weather conditions range between 27 ° -32 ° C during the day and 21 ° - 24 ° C overnight, it is possible that at any time rainfall is present.

$ 1300.00 USD registration of four national team.
$ 3800.00 USD registration team of four visitors, all inclusive

1. Round trip transportation of bikes.
2. Crossing of the Sierpe river in a raft.
